Data Deletion Instructions
How to request deletion of your Best Shot data
We respect your right to privacy and control over your personal data. If you wish to delete your data associated with Best Shot, including data connected through Facebook Login, please follow the instructions below.
What Data Will Be Deleted?
When you request data deletion, the following information will be permanently removed:
- Your account information (name, email, profile data)
- All game scores and statistics
- Leaderboard rankings and achievements
- Game progress and saved data
- Any Facebook login connection data
- Device and usage information
How to Request Data Deletion
Option 1: Email Request
- Send an email to darren@bestshot.io
- Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request - Best Shot"
- Include the following information in your email:
- Your full name
- The email address associated with your Best Shot account
- Your Facebook ID or username (if you logged in via Facebook)
- Confirmation that you understand the deletion is permanent
- We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email
Option 2: In-App Deletion (Coming Soon)
We are working on implementing an in-app data deletion feature that will allow you to delete your data directly from within the Best Shot app. This feature will be available in a future update.
What Happens After You Request Deletion?
- Request Received: We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours
- Verification: We may ask for additional information to verify your identity
- Processing: Your data will be deleted from our active databases within 30 days
- Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete
- Backup Removal: Data in backup systems will be deleted within 90 days
Data That May Be Retained
Please note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Transaction records required for accounting purposes
- Information necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our terms
- Data required to comply with legal obligations
- Anonymous or aggregated data that cannot identify you personally
Revoking Facebook App Permissions
If you logged in to Best Shot using Facebook, you may also want to remove the app from your Facebook account:
- Go to Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites
- Find "Best Shot" in the list
- Click "Remove" to revoke permissions
Note: Removing the app from Facebook does not automatically delete your Best Shot data. You must still submit a deletion request using the method above.
